The EU Horizon 2020 project  Nautilus (Nautical Integrated Hybrid Energy System for Long-haul Cruise Ships) successfully organized a BREAKOUT SESSION in the form of a public expert workshop at EFCF 2022. The scope was: “Potential and challenges of innovative power systems and synthetic fuels for emission reduction in waterborne transport.”
The workshop, held both physically and virtually with professionals from the fuel cell & electrolysis technology and maritime sectors, was so well received that it was further developed two years later into the Sustainable Shipping Days SSD 2024. The following video shows a few excerpts. But not only is the technology sustainable, but so is the event itself, with further SSD conferences to follow.
